Shané Nicole Darby successfully advocated for the establishment of COVID testing sites in Wilmington to ensure easy access to testing for residents.
Worked to improve the bus hubs in the 2nd District to provide better transportation options for the community.
Championed the "Water For All" initiative to ensure access to clean and affordable water for all residents of Wilmington.
Amended Chapter 5 of the City Code to provide for civil fines for owners of vacant properties who fail to register them (PASSED)
Proposed a Resolution urging the Delaware General Assembly to enact legislation requiring landlords to have a valid business license to file eviction actions or have judgments entered against tenants (PASSED)
Amended Chapter 5 of the City Code to Require Buyers of Residential Rental Property to Pay Business License Fees at Property Settlement (PASSED)
Successfully named the Concord and Madison Triangle as the "Beatres R. Dunn Triangle" to honor the contributions of a beloved community member
Championed an amendment to Chapter 40, Section 40-341(A) of the City Code to align with the State Code's policy on paid parental leave.
Enacted a temporary moratorium on water service disconnections and exempted elderly, disabled residents, and households with children under the age of five from disconnections for nonpayment of utility charges.

Introduced measures to support criminal justice reform, including resolutions encouraging the Delaware General Assembly to support SB 149 and amend the Delaware Code relating to the Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of Rights.
Successfully amended Chapter 2 of the City Code to ensure that incarcerated individuals in state or federal correctional facilities who were city residents before incarceration are counted at their last known city addresses for redistricting purposes.
Established an Intergovernmental Standing Committee to enhance cooperation and communication with other governmental bodies.
